A Victory Lap Through Fort Lauderdale Beach’s Iconic Spots

After the win, Stanley Cup players took to the streets with the trophy, stopping at some of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s most iconic destinations to greet fans. At Ann’s Florist and Coffee Bar, they were surrounded by colorful arrangements and fresh-cut flowers, with the aroma of pastries and signature cocktails filling the air. Greek Islands Taverna welcomed them with its homestyle Greek cuisine, crafted from the freshest local ingredients since 1999. The vibrant atmosphere of American Social on Las Olas provided a perfect backdrop for enjoying updated American comfort food and craft brews. Finally, the legendary Elbo Room, a bar that’s been a staple of Fort Lauderdale Beach since 1938, saw Matthew Tkachuk stop by with the cup, thrilling fans with this up-close encounter with history.

Oceanfront Stanley Cup Victory Parade

STanley cup celebration parade
Fort Lauderdale Beach celebrated with a Victory Parade on Saturday, June 30th. Tens of thousands of fans filled the streets and sandy shores of A1A Boulevard to catch a glimpse of the coveted trophy. The double-decker buses carrying the players began their journey on Riomar Street, traveling down A1A until they reached 5th Street. The parade route passed right by Selene Oceanfront Residences, the region’s tallest new residential address. Future residents of these oceanfront condominiums will enjoy events like this year-round, from music festivals and victory parades to the annual air show, all from the privacy and seclusion of their expansive glass-railed terraces. The towers topped off construction in June and are anticipated to welcome their first residents in 2025.

Where Elite Sports Thrive Year-Round

The NHL, however, isn’t the only sport Fort Lauderdale Beach has to offer. South Florida is a mecca for sports and entertainment, offering a dynamic scene that attracts athletes, celebrities, and elite travelers from around the globe. The Kaseya Center hosts the NBA’s Miami Heat, while loanDepot Park showcases the MLB’s Miami Marlins. Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins, also hosts prestigious events like the Tennis Miami Open and Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix. Adding to the excitement, Chase Stadium is the proud home of David Beckham’s Inter Miami soccer team, which recently welcomed superstar Lionel Messi. With this remarkable array of sports teams and events, Fort Lauderdale Beach ensures year-round excitement for sports enthusiasts.
