Chef Anthony Vitolo has brought his traditional Italian flavors from New York to the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach with his newly opened restaurant Vitolo. The Four Seasons Hotel has also become a restaurant hotspot, with MAASS serving up European and Japanese-inspired dishes with a focus on wood-fired cooking. Olive & Sea is a rooftop restaurant that offers Mediterranean-style dishes, while Voodoo Bayou tantalizes taste buds with its Southern Cajun cuisine. For those with a sweet tooth, New River Café and Bakery, helmed by pastry chef Sabrina Courtemanche, presents custom cakes, artisan breads, and other delectable treats.

Brightline Expands to Orlando

Brightline, the high-speed intercity passenger train, has expanded its service to connect even more of Florida’s exciting destinations. A newly opened station now links Miami to Orlando, greatly enhancing the train’s reach across the state. The Brightline stops at Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach, offering convenient access to the region’s best without the hassle of driving. The airports in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, as well as Palm Beach’s prestigious Worth Avenue and Orlando’s thrilling theme parks, are all within reach. This expansion is just the start, with plans underway for a new station in Tampa in the future.

New Additions for Mega Yachts

Renowned as the Yachting Capital of the World, Fort Lauderdale boasts over 300 miles of waterways that link the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean, and Gulfstream waters. A recent addition to this maritime paradise is set to become a premier hub for mega-yachts measuring at least 88 feet in length. The Las Olas Marina has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment to establish a world-class docking facility for these sizable vessels. Offering 7,000 linear feet of dockage, the marina will feature 66 boat slips, a marine services building, a state-of-the-art pump station, and a waterfront promenade complemented by a two-story waterfront restaurant. The new Las Olas Marina is set to debut in spring 2024.

Formula One Returns to Miami

Formula 1, the pinnacle of international motorsport racing, is set to thrill fans once again in Miami. The Miami Grand Prix, hosted at the Miami International Autodrome from May 3rd to 5th, promises high-octane action. However, this event is just one of many that make South Florida a sports lover’s paradise. From the NHL’s Florida Panthers at FLA Live Arena to the NBA’s Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center, and the MLB’s Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park, the region boasts a vibrant sports scene.
