A Designer Who Already Knows Selene
This is hardly Steven G’s introduction to Selene. Interiors by Steven G has already completed approximately 10 private residences for early owners who have moved into the oceanfront condominium. Those commissions gave Steven something far more valuable than a floor plan. He has seen how Selene lives, how daylight moves through its walls of glass, how the Atlantic commands one direction while Fort Lauderdale begins to glow in another, and how owners inhabit the generous spaces between those views.
“We’ve done about 10 units there very successfully,” Steven said. “Our clients are thrilled with the project. They’re thrilled with the location.”
That familiarity now informs four individual compositions created for residences being offered for sale. The assignment is also part of a much longer design story. Steven estimates that his firm has created close to 200 model residences during its 42-year history, giving him a seasoned perspective on the difference between an attractive room and one that makes someone want to live there. Steven describes Selene as having “two faces.”
“During the day you’re looking at a pristine ocean,” he said. After dark, the perspective changes: “you have the lights of what I would call the city.”

The four residences are conceived for rooms surrounded by expansive glass, where the Atlantic, Intracoastal and Fort Lauderdale skyline continually alter the backdrop. The interiors have presence, but they do not need to compete with what is happening outside.
The newly unveiled imagery reveals that restraint. Sculptural seating establishes graceful silhouettes without overwhelming the rooms. Warm woods, tactile fabrics and organic forms introduce richness against quieter neutral palettes. Dining areas have definition without feeling formal. Bedrooms carry the softness into more private spaces. Throughout, furnishings are positioned to preserve a strong relationship with the glass and the horizon. The effect is polished but increasingly relaxed, a direction Steven sees extending well beyond Selene.
“The natural and organic feel has become the biggest design look that we are being asked for,” he said. What people want now, he added, is “comfort” and “the ease of usability.”
For a designer whose career has spanned decades of changing tastes, that evolution is significant. These rooms are not exercises in excess. Their character comes from proportion, material, texture, form and the confidence to leave visual space for Selene’s greatest asset: its setting.
When the Interior Becomes Part of the Decision
There is another reason Steven has spent so much of his career creating finished residences for condominium properties. A fully conceived interior can change the way a future homeowner sees the real estate itself. An empty residence asks someone to imagine scale, furniture placement, color, texture and how the rooms will ultimately feel.
